His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is scheduled to hold a State Visit to Hungary on 18th November 2025 at the invitation of His Excellency Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary. While in Budapest, His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam is expected to hold separate meetings with His Excellency Dr. Tamás Sulyok, President of Hungary; and His Excellency Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, to strengthen bilateral relations and further enhance cooperation in areas of mutual benefit to both countries. The State Visit marks His Majesty's inaugural visit to Hungary.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on 21st January 1992, both countries have enjoyed warm and friendly ties bilaterally and within the framework of ASEAN-European Union Dialogue Relations. The visit will provide the opportunity for both leaders to discuss bilateral relations as well as international issues of mutual interest.
