The 'Majlis Mengagai' or Ceremony to Select Candidates for the Southeast Asia Writers' Award 2024 was held virtually.

Joining the event was Doctor Dayang Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Dayang Hajah Nur Hamizah binti Haji Samihon was a prolific writer who masters several genres such as short story, novel, and poetry.
