The Muzakarah or Discussion Session with Members of the Legislative Council should not focus on existing issues or challenges. Instead, the focus should be on strategic proposals and recommendations that can contribute to the development of the Ministry of Home Affairs in particular and the country in general, whether in the short, medium or long term. This was emphasised by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs, while chairing the Discussion Session between the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Members of the Legislative Council. The session was held 24th November morning at the Brunei Muara District Office, Berakas.
Home Affairs added that such an approach is vital in helping the Ministry and Brunei Darussalam as a whole to continue to thrive in line with the trends of globalisation and digital transformation, in efforts to realise the goals of Wawasan Brunei 2035.
The session aims to share initiatives that have and are being implemented as well as strategic plans of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Departments under it. It also served as a brainstorming session on any matter or issue towards the well-being of the citizens and residents as well as prosperity of the country.
