In the swimming event which took place at the National Swimming Pool, Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex, Berakas, six categories were competed on 24th November afternoon with 6 gold medals being contested.

In the boy's 100 metre Butterfly category, the gold and bronze medals went to Indonesian athletes, while the Thai athletes won the bronze medal. In the girl's 100 metre Butterfly, the gold and silver medals were won by Thailand, with Indonesia collecting the bronze medal. In the boy's 200 metre Freestyle event, Indonesia won the gold and bronze medals, while Thailand won the silver medal. In the girl's 200 metre Freestyle, Indonesia won the gold and bronze medals, while Thailand won the silver medal. Indonesia added another gold medal through the boy's 100 metre Breaststroke event. The silver medal was won by Singapore, while the Philippines won the bronze medal. For the girl's 100 metre Breaststroke event, Singapore won the gold medal, silver went to Thailand and the Philippines won the bronze.
