The obligation to always maintain halal, hygiene and safety products, especially in the handling and production of food and non-food products, were emphasized during a Halal Compliance Workshop. Organised by the Halal Food Control Division, Syariah Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, the 2-day workshop took place at the Multipurpose Hall of the Bumiputera Complex in Bangar Town.
The program included a briefing on food chemistry analysis from the Department of Scientific Services, as well as a sharing session by the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority on food safety assurance and operators. The workshop provides benefits and a better experience for Halal certificate or permit holders, especially for restaurants and food preparation.
