On the sidelines of His Majesty's State Visit to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, THREE Memoranda of Understanding, MoU were signed, namely the M-o-U on Maritime Cooperation, MoU on Cooperation in Fisheries and the MoU on the Use of  Hotline for Information-Exchange to Address Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing.

The MoU's were renewed with the aim of further enhancing the technical capacity of fisheries laboratories; adding value to fisheries products to make them more competitive and expanding export markets; enhancing the protection of fishing communities; and promoting responsible fishing practices; as well as strengthening collaborative efforts among enforcement agencies.
