His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah acknowledges the performance and progress demonstrated by Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad, BLNG; and Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad, BGC; throughout the year particularly in operational excellence, financial resilience and a commitment towards safety.

 

His Majesty emphasises that the discussions over the next two days, which would focus on the business will be critical in shaping the strategies for the years ahead.

 

In the titah, His Majesty also emphasises the need for these strategies to be forward-looking and aligned with the nation's aspirations for sustainable growth and enhanced value creation. This includes strengthening future competitiveness, enhancing current ways of workings, and defining clear and innovative value pathways.

 

His Majesty delivered the titah while charing the 228th Board of Directors Meeting of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad and the 114th Board of Meeting of Brunei Gas Carriers Sendirian Berhad for the Final Quarter of 2025, on 8th December morning. The meeting took place at the Prime Minister's Office.

 

Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd. Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister's Office in their capacity as members of the BLNG and BGC Board of Directors. The meeting commenced with a recitation of Doa. The meeting discussed key areas such as safety, operational performance, financials, manpower development, and the business plans for both BLNG and BGC. The meeting was attended by key stakeholders including Shareholder Directors representing the Government of His Majesty, Shell plc including Mr. Richard Howe, Executive Vice President of Conventional Oil and Gas at Shell and Mitsubishi Corporation, including Mr. Gen Kunihiro, Divison Chief Operating Officer, LNG-Asia Pacific Division, Environmental Energy Group at Mitsubishi Corporation, as well as members of the respective Management from BLNG and BGC. His Majesty will also chair the 417th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Petroleum Sdn Bhd, BSP; and the 195th Meeting of the Board of Directors of Brunei Shell Marketing Sdn Bhd, BSM for the Fourth Quarter of 2025.
