To encourage the public to spend locally during the school holidays and festive season, the Department of Economic Planning and Statistics, Ministry of Finance and Economy is organising "Brunei Salebration, BSb 2025" starting 8th December until the 18th of January 2026.

BSb is organised annually to encourage the public to support local businesses by spending locally specifically during the school holidays and the new school term 2026. Every dollar spent in the country will help strengthens the local economy, support job opportunities and create various side benefits to entrepreneurs including grocery stores, food and drink industries as well as services. Such an initiative also supports the local tourism industry by enabling tourism agents, hotels and service providers to offer their special packages to tourists.
