​To revitalise the community, support local entrepreneurs and provide a relaxing experience for visitors, the Economic Bureau of the Mukim Pengkalan Batu Consultative Council organised the Sunday Market. The one-day sales activity took place at Taman Rekreasi Mini Perayaan Kampung Parit.

The Sunday Market provided a platform for villagers to familiarise themselves with the business world while also providing opportunities for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs to promote their products including food and handicrafts. The event which will be held twice in a month is also hoped to promote the Recreation Park as a leisure destination for the public and families.
