In the Women's 53 kilogramme Weightlifting, the final saw national athlete Jurelena Juna in 7th position out of eight athletes competing. The event took place at the Chonburi Sports School, Thailand.

Jurelena lifted a total of 158 kilogrammes for the Snatch, Clean and Jerk. In the event, the gold medal was won by the host athlete Thailand while the silver and bronze medals went to Viet Nam and Myanmar respectively.
