The 33rd Southeast Asian Games, SEA Games Thailand 2025 held since the 9th of December lowered its curtains on 20th December night. His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, SEA Games Federation Honorary Life President and President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council attended the closing ceremony held at Rajamangala National Stadium, Bangkok.
For this edition, the host, Thailand emerged as overall champion with 233 gold medals, followed by Indonesia and Viet Nam. Meanwhile, Brunei Darussalam's Contingent ended their mission at the 9th place with 1 gold medal, 3 silver medals and 5 bronze medals. The closing ceremony also witnessed the handing over of flag to Malaysia as host of the 34th SEA Games in 2027.
