His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al- Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di- Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, in a titah reminds of the current education challenges stemming from digital advancements. His Majesty stresses that if technology is not used wisely, balanced and prudently, the risks may be high, such as the risk of digital fatigue and digital addiction, which can affect students' academic and mental development.
His Majesty made the reminder in his titah at the Get-Together Ceremony with Students as well as Citizens and Residents of Brunei Darussalam in the United Kingdom and Eire.
His Majesty began the titah by expressing gratitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala for being able to attend the very meaningful ceremony to interact with the Citizens and Residents of Brunei Darussalam who are currently in the United Kingdom and Ireland, comprising students, Government officials working there and those on holiday with their families.
In the titah, His Majesty says the meeting provided an opportunity for the Monarch to mingle with citizens abroad, especially students who are seeking knowledge.
