The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, together with Borneo Eco-Resort Sendirian Berhad held a beach cleaning campaign at the Berakas Forest Recreation Park, 31st December morning. The event coincided with the handover of the site keys and the installation of the temporary closure sign.
The key was presented by Awang Reni bin Haji Yahya, Acting Director of Forestry. In attendance was Dayang Hajah Tutiaty Binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism. The Berakas Forest Recreation Park will be temporarily closed to the public, starting on the 1st of January for eco-tourism redevelopment project. The projects aim to preserve modern and sustainable ecotourism infrastructure, aside from ensuring the park's natural environment continues to be preserved.
