A Bangladeshi man was sentenced for an offence under the Immigration Act, Chapter 17, namely overstaying in the country after his immigration pass had expired.

38-year-old Md Abdur Razzak Benu was sentenced to 5 months imprisonment and 3 strokes of whipping. The sentence was in effect starting the 5th of January 2026.
