Success at the 12th ASEAN Para Games becomes a source of motivation and benchmark for every selected athlete. However, the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports stressed that in seeking success, discipline and integrity aspects must always be prioritised. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi Mohamad made the reminder at the National Flag Handover Ceremony to the contingent for the 13th ASEAN Para Games. The ceremony was held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Complex in Berakas, 14th January morning.

Yang Berhormat advised the athletes to maintain proper conduct, comply with all regulations, and avoid prohibited substances. The minister added that focus, health and a strong fighting spirit are the keys to successfully raise the nation's name in the regional arena.

The contingent comprises 21 members including 12 athletes. They will take part in three sports events namely Athletics, Tenpin Bowling and Swimming. Also present, Kittivudh Pinyowit, Chargé d'Affaires of the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam.
