The Haj and Umrah Course aims to further disseminate knowledge of Haj and Umrah manasik besides preparing intending Haj pilgrims physically, mentally and spiritually. Involving 210 intending Haj and Umrah pilgrims this year, 10 sessions are held simultaneously at selected course centres in all four districts, starting on the 16th January until the 15th of February.

The course, among other things, aims to help intending Haj pilgrims learn, understand and increase their knowledge of Haj Manasik theoretically and practically so that intending pilgrims can perform Haj in an orderly and perfect manner; and standardise laws related to the knowledge of Haj Manasik, Umrah and Pilgrimage. Conducted by the Department of Haj Management through the Haj and Umrah Guidance Division, the course took place at the Lambak Kanan Religious School, Jalan 1 Rancangan Perumahan Negara Lambak Kanan.
