The Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies CSPS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, is undertaking the National Successful Ageing Survey 2026 until the 30th of April, as part of the development of the National 5-Year Roadmap for Successful Ageing in Brunei Darussalam. The nationwide study represents a major national effort to generate robust, policy-relevant evidence on successful ageing and age-related health outcomes in Brunei Darussalam.
The survey aims to assess the level of successful ageing among the population while examining key health, social, and ageing-related issues affecting older persons. The survey will be conducted through face-to-face interviews across all four districts. The study will draw on a random sample of one thousand 100 respondents, comprising one thousand older adults aged 60 years and above, and 100 middle-aged adults aged 40 to 59 years. In each selected household, one eligible respondent will be invited to participate. All information collected will be treated with the strictest confidentiality and used exclusively for statistical and research purposes.
