Government and Private primary and secondary schools throughout the country on 19th January held the Sunat Hajat Prayer, Reading of Surah Yasin and Special Doa to pray for His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam's health and well-being.

In Brunei Muara District, among those holding the ceremony was Sengkurong Sixth Form Centre.

A similar ceremony was also held at Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah School.

In Belait District, the Sunat Hajat Prayer, Reading of Surah Yasin and Special Doa took place at Perdana  Wazir Secondary School, Kuala Belait.

Whereas in Tutong District, a similar event was held at Binturan Primary School.

In Temburong District, the Mass Sunat Hajat Prayer took place at Rataie Primary School.
