Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) has recorded a new achievement with the inclusion of 'Computer Science' in the Times Higher Education, THE, Subject Rankings for the first time, with the ranking in the 251-300 band.

This year, UBD recorded the highest number of subjects listed, at eight, with six out of the seven existing subjects increasing their positions. In ASEAN, several UBD subjects were in the top 10, including 'Computer Science', 'Social Science', and 'Engineering' in seventh place. The Computer Science programme offered at the School of Digital Sciences, SDS, emphasizes the application of theory to practice, including industry training opportunities. SDS has also been internationally recognised through the AI Innovation Award 2024, the JICA Cybersecurity Award 2024, and student achievements in Cyberbattle competitions and international robotics conferences.
