By the consent of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Brunei Darussalam Syariah Court informed the public, especially Muslims in Brunei Darussalam, that Yang Berhormat Yang Di-Pertua of the Islamic Religious Council of Brunei has informed that Nisfu Syaaban for 1447 Hijrah falls on Monday, 2nd of February 2026.

Following that, the sighting of the new moon of Ramadhan for 1447 Hijrah will be carried out on Tuesday, 29th Syaaban 1447 Hijrah corresponding to 17th of February 2026. The sightings will be carried out at the Mutiara Exchange Building; Tanjung Batu Recreational Park; Bukit Agok; Bukit Ambog Hilal Building, and Bukit Lumut Hilal Building.
