Brunei Darussalam's commitment to advancing the "One Health Approach" was proven by conducting the Zoonotic Disease Prioritization Workshop.  The Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health, explained that the workshop also strengthene the country's health security in line with the regional framework.

Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif outlined the matter at the Opening Ceremony of the Zoonotic Disease Prioritization Workshop 3rd January morning organised by the Department of Environmental Health Services. It is conducted in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, World Organisation for Animal Health and Food and Agriculture Organisation.  During the workshop, discussions focused on identifying practical steps and joint action plans to strengthen prevention, surveillance, preparedness and response for the prioritized diseases. The Opening Ceremony is held at the EVYD Tech Campus in Jerudong.
