The Brunei Cancer Centre, Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC, organised a World Cancer Day celebration, 4th February morning.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health, as Chairman and Executive Director of JPMC. In her speech, Datin Doctor Hajah Noraslinah binti Haji Ramlee, Consultant and Head of Early Detection and Cancer Prevention Services, JPMC, among others, emphasised innovative approaches in patient support such as 'Art Therapy', which according to studies can significantly reduce depression and emotional stress as well as improve the well-being and quality of life of patients. Such an event brings together the Brunei community in a programme with the concept of peace through art. It coincided with the presentation of certificates of appreciation, and prizes for the winners of colouring and drawing.
