Trust in carrying out duties and responsibilities entrusted must be carried out to the best of one's ability, as it is a great responsibility. Speaking during the Annual Assembly of Syariah Court Officers, the Chief Syari'e Judge emphasised that every position held, whether in the government or private sector, even within the family institution, is not merely a matter of status or position. Instead, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Haji Besar explained that the role of head of household; husband; wife or mother is a trust that must be fully carried out. The event took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of the Brunei Supreme Court and Syariah Courts Building in the capital, 5th February morning.

Yang Berhormat added that whoever neglects, acts dishonestly, or be unjust in carrying out the trust, there will be retribution from Allah.

The event included a video clip presentation on the programmes and activities of the Syariah Court throughout 2025 as well as presentation of tokens of appreciation to retirees. The assembly is hoped to continue to serve as an avenue to strengthen solidarity, enhance motivation, and instil the spirit of excellence among all court officers.
