Continued commitment from the government, industry and consumers is key to helping embed energy efficiency into investment decisions. According to the DEPUTY MINISTER OF ENERGY at the Prime Minister's Office, Hibiscus Petroleum's 12 megawatt-peak (MWp) ground mounted solar P-V project reflects its commitment to introducing renewable energy into its operations, demonstrating the nation's oil and gas sector progress in integrating renewable energy—enhancing efficiency, strengthening competitiveness, and positioning the industry for long-term resilience. Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohamad Hanifah stated the matter at the groundbreaking ceremony to mark the commencement of construction of the 12 MWp ground mounted solar PV farm at Sungai Liang Industrial Park SPARK, Belait District, on 09th February morning. Located on a 26 acre site, the solar farm is expected to generate its first power by the end of this year and will supply renewable electricity exclusively to the group's low pressure compressor facility at the onshore processing plant.
