Brunei Darussalam aspires to reach 38,000 tonnes in air cargo movement by 2030. Speaking during the Opening of the Brunei International Airport Cargo Centre (BIACC) Trade and Logistics Expo 2026, the Minister of Transport and Infocommunications said that industry players, entrepreneurs and policymakers need to seize the opportunity to shape geographical position into an asset, enhance transport connectivity and transform transit hubs and warehouses into catalysts for local jobs and drivers of the country's economy. Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha added, Brunei Darussalam needs to transition from consumers to active players in the logistics sector, and become the architects of the journey.

 

Throughout the two-day event, the expo features a series of dialogues and thematic forums covering key topics such as logistics connectivity, e-commerce and digital trade, the future of logistics human capital, logistics based on environmental sustainability, and operational perspectives across the supply chain.
