The culmination of the 42nd National Day will be celebrated with a Kesyukuran Ceremony, Mass Fardhu Zuhur Prayer, and the Reading of Surah Yasin and Doa Kesyukuran at all mosques, surau and religious halls nationwide on Monday, 23rd of February. It will begin at 11:30 in the morning, and the focal point is at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kampung Kiarong. This was among the matters shared during a press conference on the celebration's preparation, held at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

The press conference was joined by Co-Secretaries of the Celebration's Executive Committee. Also shared were major and side events that will be held. Among them are munajat, special forum and 42 times Khatam Al-Qur'an ceremony. The event coincided with a prize presentation ceremony to the winner of the logo design competition, and handover of posters to panellists, public relation officers at ministries, including departments under the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports as well as the media.
