Over 130 sacks of rice were distributed to the underprivileged in Tutong District through the Jalinan Taqwa Programme. Organised by The Tutong District Senior Citizen Activity Centre in collaboration with the Department of Community Development, Tutong District Branch, the handover ceremony took place on 12th February morning.

The donations were presented by Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, Member of the Legislative Council. The programme was an annual event of the centre ahead of Ramadhan. The rice donation was from the Fidyah payments, which makes it easier for the community to complete the payment of Fidyah according to Islamic law.
