Rimba Secondary School won 2 Bronze Medals at the 14th Regional Congress Search for SEAMEO Young Scientists Program, held recently in Penang, Malaysia.
The 'RimbaScan: An AI Plant Assistant for Agriculture and Education' project won the bronze medal for the Special Award for the Application of STEM Concepts and Special Award for Commercial Potential category. The competition emphasised on the importance of Green Education, Environmental Awareness, Sustainability, Climate Change, and Entrepreneurial Thinking, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals and regional priorities. Also joining the competition was two students from Maktab Sains Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan.
The participation was coordinated by the Ministry of Education through the Science, Technology and Environment Partnership, STEP Centre, and organised by SEAMEO RECSAM.
