20/02/2026  Active Weather Conditions are expected until 25 February

National

Brunei Darussalam is currently in the second phase of the Northeast Monsoon, where the atmospheric condition tends to become more stable with reduced rainfall activity. However, the North-easterly surge and low-pressure area near our region leads to the enhanced development of active rain clouds and increased occurrence of heavy rainfall.

Active weather conditions are expected until 25th of February. Showers, occasionally heavy and thundery are expected to affect several areas of the country, with wind gust of up to 45 kilometres per hour during or near heavy and thundery showers. Sea conditions are generally slight to moderate, with wave heights ranging from 0.6 to 1.5 metres. Members of the public are advised to take precautionary actions with respect to the predicted active weather condition. There is a high risk of flash floods, landslide, fallen trees and blown-off roofs during heavy showers and gusty condition. Sea conditions are dangerous to all small boat operations, sea recreational activities and sports.
