His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office as the representative of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on 23rd February noon graced the Kesyukuran Ceremony with the Mass Fardhu Zohor Prayer, reading of Surah Yaasin and Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day Celebration. The ceremony was held at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah in Kampung Kiarong.

Also in attendance were His Royal Highness' brothers, His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik and His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen. Upon arrival, His Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, the Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji  Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence;  Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State MUFTI.

The mass Fardu Zohor prayer was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Haji Besar who also led the mass Sunat Hajat prayer.

Yang Berhormat Pehin also led the reading of Surah Yaasin and Doa Kesyukuran. 

The ceremony was to express gratitude for the blessings of peace and prosperity bestowed by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala on the citizens and residents of the country.
