The spirit of patriotism is the main pillar in building the identity of the citizens and ensuring the survival of a sovereign country. For Brunei Darussalam, the independence, peace and prosperity achieved today are the result form the sacrifices and efforts of previous generations which must be appreciated and defended. Therefore, the responsibility of fostering a sense of love for the country cannot be taken lightly, but must be shouldered by every level of society. The same goes for the family institution which plays an important role in shaping the spirit of patriotism from a young age.
