24/02/2026  Special Munajat in conjunction with National Day Celebration

National

In an effort to realise the National Vision, several important aspects need to be applied from the Islamic perspective. Among them, strengthening the relationship with Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala by keeping His commandments, believing with true faith, increasing good deeds and istiqamah in servitude to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala and building and strengthening unity. When religion becomes a priority in every aspect of life and guidance is used as strength, then efforts to build a prosperous and peaceful country can be realised. This was among the content of the tazkirah or talk during the Special Munajat Programme in conjunction with the Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day Celebration.

The programme reflects the unity and cooperation between government agencies and all levels of society in appreciating the meaning of independence and sovereignty. For the Brunei Muara District, the programme's focal point was at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque. Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin Bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Setia Doctor Dayang Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Minister of Education, and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, who also led the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah.
