The Lowering of the Giant-Sized Brunei Darussalam Flag was held, 25th February afternoon, to mark the end of national flag hoisting nationwide in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day Celebration. The ceremony took place at the open area of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.

Present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs as Co-Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Committee Members. The lowering of the giant sized flag was carried out by the Royal Brunei Navy. Also present were Members of the Legislative Council, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, and Members of the Executive Committee.
