Several private and international schools under the Ministry of Education also held Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day Celebration.

At Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Primary School, the annual event was organised by the Co-Curricular Unit to commemorate the independence of Brunei Darussalam. Various activities such as singing patriotic songs; doa reading; reciting the pledge and raising the national flag were held.

A similar event was also held by the Tinkerbell Learning School involving students and teachers. Various activities were held including the Brunei Flag 'Mosaic'; National Day Quiz; Flag Colouring; and, Poster Making. The organising, among others, aimed to instil a spirit of patriotism among students.
