To seek blessings and smooth running of the Official Opening Ceremony of the First Meeting of the 22nd Legislative Council Session as well as the upcoming proceedings, a Mass Fardhu Zohor and Sunat Hajat Prayers were held on 4th March afternoon. It took place at the Surau of the Department of Councils of State.

It was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib, Speaker of the Legislative Council. The ceremony began with mass Fardhu Zohor and Sunat Hajat prayers, followed by the reading of Surah Yaasin and Doa Selamat. Also in attendance were Members of the Legislative Council.
