His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam once again has consented to bestow his personal gifts to various groups among Muslim Citizens and Permanent Residents of Brunei Darussalam in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration. The distribution of His Majesty's personal gifts involving 19,242 recipients, is the 17th time it has been organised with the aim of elevating the burden of certain groups in the country especially with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration. The ceremony began with the Distribution of the Personal Gifts by His Majesty's sons and daughters, as personal representatives of His Majesty, followed by distribution at several designated distribution centres in the four districts. Gracing the presentation ceremony of His Majesty's Personal Gifts for Brunei Muara District at the Reception Hall, Istana Nurul Iman as His Majesty's personal representative was His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office.

On arrival at the Reception Hall of Istana Nurul Iman, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

The ceremony began with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar.

At the ceremony, His Royal Highness consented to present the Personal Gift of His Majesty to 1,000 recipients from Brunei Muara District.
