The Ministry of Defence held the Reading of Surah Yassin and Tahlil, specifically for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien; Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim. The ceremony took place at the Royal Mausoleum, 11th March afternoon.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral Bersara Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The annual religious ceremony was part of the Ministry of Defence's Ihya' Ramadan Programme to glorify the holy month of Ramadhan.
