The 'Ihsan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah' Programme in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan was carried out to ease the financial burden those in need for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri. This year, BND154,900.00, as well as donations in the form of food necessities, hari raya treats and soft drinks were handed over to 150 families nationwide, comprising senior citizens and those in need. The donation contribution through the programme was held at several villages in the four districts.

In Brunei Muara District, the delegation was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism as member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Also present was Dr. Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development as the Acting Managing Director of Yayasan.

In Temburong District, the contributions were presented by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports as member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The Yayasan also contributed equipment needed by patients, especially the elderly, as part of its ongoing efforts to support those in need.

Meanwhile in Belait District, the donation presentation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib, Attorney General as a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Through the programme, Yayasan also provided donations to five families who fell victim to fires in several villages.

And in Tutong District, the donations were handed over by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister for Security and Law at Prime Minister's Office as a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The 'Ihsan' Programme is in line with Yayasan's strategic goals in balancing concern for the basic needs of those in need.
