BND8,100 were donated to 12 families in need and 9 orphans from Kampung Perpindahan Serasa. The handover was held during the Khatam Al-Qur'an Ceremony organised by Hengyi Industries Sendirian Berhad.

Present was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew Bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy. Also present were Dato Seri Paduka Haji Awang Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy for Economy; Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Mohamad Azmi bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, Deputy Minister for Energy at the Prime Minister's Office; and His Excellency Chen Shaochun, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the country. The ceremony ran concurrently with the breaking of the fast with the recipients.
