Various new strategies are planned to tackle climate change. According to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd. Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy, several interests also need to be considered as a national adaptation plan.

According to Yang Berhormat, an assessment has also been carried out, namely the National Climate Vulnerability Assessment, to assess in a more in-depth manner the level of impact, thus ensuring that adaptation strategies can be developed responsively.
