The Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications and its departments as well as authorities under it organised a Khatam Al-Qur'an ceremony in conjunction with Ramadhan. The ceremony, which included the distribution of contributions and donation presentation to orphans and the poor, was managed by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam, MPABD in Gadong, 17th March 2026.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. The ceremony included the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar Zikir. 11 orphans and 10 families comprising families of MPABD staff and residents of RPN Serasa received the donations and contributions. It ran concurrently with an endowment presentation to representative of the Brunei International Airport Surau.
