Efforts to curb road accidents and upgrading the digital system were among the issues raised by Appointed Members during the Committee of Supply Debate for topics under the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications.
These included initiatives to curb or monitor speed limits on the road;
The need for local professional human resources in the nation's digital system management;
Creating commercial spaces at the departure hall to support a more flexible retail model;
Guideline to ensure safety of cyclists and road users;
Strategic measures to enhance the airport as a more competitive aviation hub;
A more systematic system to coordinate runners' services and registered companies;
Efforts to strengthen information management to ensure accuracy and security of information;
And introducing a system to identify the Person with Disability vehicle sticker or permits to ensure they are used in an orderly and integrity-driven manner.
