65 officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF have been promoted. The promotion was with the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

Present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The presentation of promotion insignia was officiated by Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of RBAF. An officer was promoted to the rank of Permanent Major. 16 officers were promoted to the rank of Permanent Major/Lieutenant Commander TLDB. While 3 officers were promoted to the rank of Acting Major. An officer was promoted to the rank of Permanent Captain, 42 officers were promoted to the rank of Permanent Captain/Lieutenant TLDB and two officers were promoted to the rank of Acting Captain. The ceremony took place at the Officers' Mess, Berakas Garrison, 27th March morning.
