Friday is not just an ordinary day, but a day that opens up space for the servants of Allah SWT to draw closer to Him more earnestly. Increasing the recitations of blessings to Rasulullah SAW and reciting Surah Al-Kahfi are among several noble practices that can be carried out on that day. The matter was among the contents of the Friday Sermon, titled "Friday: Reflecting On A Blessed Day". Also touched upon were the benefits and objectives of the Friday Sermon.

Firstly, to increase knowledge, especially related to religious matters, morals and current issues. Secondly, to provide advice and guidance to congregants to return to the true teachings of Islam and not deviate from the Syariah foundation. Thirdly, to increase faith and piety towards Allah SWT through reminders that touch the heart and awaken the soul. Fourth, to awake the sense of remorse and awareness so as not to continue to drift into negligence and worldly desires alone; and fifth, to draw lessons and morals from the verses of Al-Qur'an and the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW that are recited.
