The spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri continues to flourish among local people even while abroad, especially in the United Kingdom. Despite being far from family, the atmosphere remains lively with the presence of fellow countrymen.

To enliven the Raya atmosphere, students and Bruneians worked together to prepare traditional dishes such as rendang, ketupat and local delicacies. The Brunei Students' Association also organised an Aidilfitri open house event that not only brought together Bruneians, but also international friends, thus introducing the country's culture to the outside world.
