The 21st International School Brunei Borneo Global Issues Conference, ISB BGIC, is focused on the 7th Sustainable Development Goal: Affordable and Clean Energy. The conference, involving more than 300 student delegates from 23 schools, is hosted by ISB in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education. It is also supported by the Department of Energy at the Prime Minister's Office, the Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam, and the British High Commission in Brunei Darussalam. The event began at the ISB campus in Kampung Sungai Hanching, 10th April morning.

The conference included keynote speaker sessions, committee discussions, and the General Assembly. Delegates will debate and decide on resolutions relating to affordable and clean energy, with topics such as balancing renewable energy advancements with ecosystem preservation, ensuring technological transfers, energy security, and strengthening infrastructure to enhance resilience. This initiative is aimed at the development of students' understanding of global citizenship and critical skills in research, public speaking, and negotiation.
