The Department of Zakat, Waqaf and Baitulmal Affairs held the Presentation of Haj Package Payments to Haj Operators and pocket money for 20 selected new converts that met the conditions to obtain Haj Fare from His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam to perform the Fardhu Haj for 1447 Hijrah/ 2026 Haj Season. Each recipient received a fare totalling to 4 thousand 5 hundred Brunei Dollars, according to the rates given to Government officials. The event took place on 13th April afternoon at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

It was handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as the Yang Di-Pertua of Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam. The Religious Council of Brunei Darussalam also distributed the Asnaf Mualaf Tithe Money Collection for haj package payments to Darussalam Services Sendirian Berhad and Al-Hijrah Travel Tours Sendirian Berhad for the 20 new converts. Each new converts also received a pocket money.
