Before leaving for the Holy Land, intending pilgrims had the opportunity to junjung ziarah His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The presentation of His Majesty's Personal Haj Fare, the Government fare as well as fare for new converts reflected the Monarch's strong commitment in upholding the sanctity of Islam in the country.

From early in the morning, Istana Nurul Iman began to fill with the presence of Allah's guests, completing their registration.

The intending pilgrims were then served lunch in a specially prepared area.

Prior to the audience and junjung ziarah ceremony, the intending pilgrims performed the mass Fardhu Zuhur prayer and the Sunat Hajat prayer.

While waiting for the junjung ziarah, they were placed in a comfortable waiting room. The main focus of His Majesty's Government is to ensure every pilgrim can perform their religious deeds properly and in peace.

The intending pilgrims were also given ihram clothes and telekung as a symbol of His Majesty's care towards the welfare of the intending pilgrims.
