The Embassy of Japan in the country held the Ikebana or Japanese Flower Arrangement Workshop, 18th April afternoon, to showcase the true art of flower arrangement. The workshop held at the Lifelong Learning Centre in RPN Lambak Kanan was joined by 40 participants.
Present was Doctor Haji Muhammad Hadi bin Muhammad Melayong, Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary for Culture at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also in attendance was His Excellency Kikuta Yutaka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Brunei Darussalam. Led by a certified Sogetsu Ikebana instructor from Japan, the traditional Japanese art of flower arrangement emphasised harmony, balance and simplicity.
