The 6th Asian Beach Games will be held in Sanya, the People's Republic of China. The games will be held from 22nd until 30th of April. Eight member of Brunei Darussalam's contingent left the country on 18th April morning, to take part in the games.

Present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to the delegation was Dayang Hajah Umi Kalthum binti Haji Abdul Karim, Director of Youth and Sports, who also gave words of advice to the athletes. The country's contingent comprising of 4 athletes and 4 officers including a Chef de Mission. They will be taking part in two sporting events, namely Beach Athletics and Beach Teqball.
